    this guy is wierd

  • Itrytotestify says:

Personal attacks are ignorant, mean, and wrong.

  • kubacko says:

If doing good works is a “delight” because you love God than the “duty” of good works will only be seen in the Pharisee.

  • yelton7 says:

ya and I bet you want to suck this guy cock

  • theatrerose says:

absolutely inspiring. He summed up in five minutes what the problem with christianity is. It can’t be a religion. It must be a faith.

  • MarkG45 says:

I dont get it, this guy doesnt really believe the bible is real, right? He knows its just fable telling from back at the dawn of human culture.

Why doesn’t he talk about aztec rituals and sacrifices like he talks about arabic ones? I mean, Christianity may have had one human sacrifice to appease the gods but the aztecs had them all the time. And that’s what Christianity is about, celebrating the barbaric torture and blood sacrifice of a human god to appease to sky god, right?

  • Brandr1 says:

    not so much…

  • motykdot says:

shocking!!! i didnt even know some of the things he said existed

  • InSlaveryToChrist says:

YES, YES, YES! Once again John Piper opened my eyes, of course, through God’s given wisdom!

DUTY, and I also noticed, FEAR are both subtitutes of LOVE. How can we consider RIGHTEOUSNESS DUTY, if we LOVE God? Also, how can we FEAR God, if we LOVE Him? LOVE DOESN’T FEAR!!! (1 John 4:18)

We lack LOVE toward God and therefore we have GOD’S FEAR ABIDING IN US (2 Timothy 1:7) and also as we are saved by GRACE we, by our conscience, know it’s our DUTY to please and give glory to God. PRAISE GOD!

  • InSlaveryToChrist says:

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: FEAR God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole DUTY of man.” [Ecclesiastes 12:13]

“And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I WILL PUT MY FEAR IN THEIR HEARTS, THAT THEY SHALL NOT DEPART FROM ME.” [Jeremiah 32:40]

    Amazing…!!!

  • 99minerkc says:

    What’s the gospel save?

  • 99minerkc says:

@InSlaveryToChrist , Nobody has kept all of the commandments since they came out!

  • 99minerkc says:

@theatrerose , FAITH? So you agree then that a god cannot be proven nor dis-proven! Well done!

  • InSlaveryToChrist says:

No-one loves God with all their heart, soul, mind, strength and understanding, but understand it means us WITHOUT God. With God EVERYTHING is possible! (Mark. 10:27)

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Cor. 9:8

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Heb. 13:21

  • 99minerkc says:

    What?

  • MyProf123 says:

Most people feel yucky when they are in their menses. It also is pretty messy. You might want to rethink that one again.

  • theatrerose says:

no, not in scientific terms. but I believe in something beyond facts and figures. And you can go ahead and diss that, but it gives me a purpose and a joy to my life that I find most people lacking.

  • xtchsbrlx says:

Haha, welllll yes. We celebrate the barbaric torture and blood sacrifice of a God man (100% human, 100% God) to appease the eternal wrath of God. The thing about this is, we sacrificed him ourselves with our sins. And yet, God forgives us of even THAT evil with the death of Jesus. And that forgiveness is worth so much more to me than any Aztec sky God could ever be. Why concern myself with the rituals of the world, when I could concern myself with the surpassing freedom in Christ Jesus?

  • xtchsbrlx says:

As much as I agree in general with what you say (if a little convoluted), let us not forget that we must fear our God as well. I don’t mean that we should be afraid of his condemnation and judgement if we are saved in Christ, but when you serve an eternal, powerful, incomprehensible God, I think it makes sense to have a healthy respect and reverence for him. So, I would say that we should fear him for who he is, but not what he (or the world) will do as we would do without Jesus.

  • xtchsbrlx says:

I don’t see the problem with having a God that can’t be proven. I would think that the God who created the universe in all its detail and still oversees each step in its everyday function would be beyond our feeble understanding and logic. But, really, science is not about proving or disproving. You may note that no scientific law, no matter how accepted, is ever “proven”. Newton’s laws of motion, for example, were overturned after centuries by Einstein. We can’t prove anything anyway. Oh well.

  • 99minerkc says:

” I don’t see the problem with having a God that can’t? be proven” You to apparently agree that god cannot be proven(although your comment was VERY wordy), so I say well done to you too! Interesting that you brought science up only to put it down! I never mentioned science!! Don’t need to!! : )

  • InSlaveryToChrist says:

Yes, yes, BUT don’t you see what LOVE is? Read my comments again and the Bible verses I displayed.

“There is NO FEAR in LOVE.”

DUTY and FEAR as SUBTITUTES for LOVE as a CRUTCH is a SUBTITUTE for a LEG, you see? This solves the WHOLE problem with both FEARING God and LOVING God, WE CANNOT DO THEM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME! LOVE IS BIGGER THAN FEAR! Therefore, when we LACK LOVE for God, then He has promised to keep us in His Word by TWO other MEANS: FEAR and SENSE of DUTY!

    Make sense?

  • MarkG45 says:

you are an idiot. go jump off a bridge. gravity cant be proven, as you stated.

  • MarkG45 says:

yea, and thats a stupid, stupid belief. “Science cant prove anything neener neener neener so it’s okay to believe in magical sky wizards”

You don’t trust this “science” huh? Well, put on your tinfoil hat and refuse antibiotics next time you get sick. Science cant PROVE it helps, right? stupid hypocrit. Enjoy your magic.

  • xtchsbrlx says:

Haha, I REALLY dislike causing youtube chains, but I’ll make an exception just for you. In fact, I love gravity and antibiotics (besides the resistance thing). Which just goes to show, everyday life would be impossible without faith. Nobody can prove that Einstein was right about gravity, but I still believe in it. Same thing with God. I can’t prove he exists, but I will be perfectly happy to live my life believing in him and his promise. Don’t be so angry :p
