I agree. They are musically astute, but too clincal. There’s no heart in it.
For f*** sake, it’s “Bridge over troubled water”. How much jumping and hand-to-roof can they have in such a song. I’m not a christian, far from it, but I enjoy gospel music. It doesn’t have to be all praying.
I also agree; there was no oomph to it – no soul; very clinical. But, god bless them anyhow.

I think they put alot of heart in the song…I believe the people who disagree probably
have Art Garfunkels version in their head as I do. I saw video of him performing that live around 1970 and theres just NO way anyone could put more heart/soul into a
song. For me Arts version was so fantastic that it absolutely tops them all.
My all time favorite song. But I continue to
love any and all versions of it including this one. Paul is a genius writer…Art ..

We scandinavian tend to be a bit collected, but that does not outrule passion, it is in small gestures. I am not norweigian but finnish neverthless northern European, so I can relate to their performance and see lot of soul and genuine in it:) it is in simple things…have a beautiful day!

Come on people they are using Simon’s original pop arrangement. This is not the gospel arrangement created by Aretha Franklin. Although they are trying to sneak in a little Billy Preston organ.
